“Nothing” is undermined by photographing and rephotographing it. Artifacts of mediation emerge as the subject. This mediative process extends into the perceptual apparatus of the viewer as warped geometries and evasive colors spark visual phenomena, grafting the subjective onto a heretofore null object.
